Visit by Stefano Covino
Stefano Covino at DARK 14-16 January 2009
Stefano Covino of INAF/Brera Astronomical Observatory is visiting DARK this week to work primarily with Daniele Malesani and Johan Fynbo, discussing X-Shooter.
Stefano is presenting the DARK Cake Talk on Thurs. 15th Jan. at 14.00 hrs. in the DARK lounge.
Title of talk: Perspectives for Very High Energy observations of GRBs with Imaging Atmospheric Cerenkov Telescopes in the FERMI era.
Abstract: FERMI is now operational and already detected several GRBs in the MeV/GeV range. We will briefly outline the importance of even higher energy (GeV/TeV range) observations with ground-based IACTs as MAGIC, HESS, etc. and the future perspectives in the field.
