Alex Kann of Thueringer Landessternwarte Tautenburg visited DARK recently. He was here to work on optical afterglow photometry with Daniele Malesani for (among others) GRB 060124 and GRB 050724, learning ISIS and DAOPHOT.
"The main focus of my study is the comparison between the afterglows of long and short GRBs, as well as statistical properties of said afterglows. I also do follow-up observations with the TLS Schmidt telescope and have discovered several afterglows."
